Rev. Joseph R. Jordan, 75, of Newark, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 6, 1941 in Columbus, OH, a son to the late Minuard and Josephine (McKenzie) Jordan. Joseph has been in ministry since the age of twelve. He has served as a pastor and evangelist in the Church of Christ in Christian Union and the Church of the Nazarene. Most recently he served on staff at the Pataskala Church of the Nazarene. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Janice Jordan; daughter Candice Jordan; siblings, Harry Jordan, Frances Prince, Sue Swihart, Paul (Paula) Jordan and Beryl (Vickie) Jordan; brother-in-law, Norman Long and sister-in-law, Brenda (Wayne) Stover and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Pataskala Church of the Nazarene, 8100 Hazelton-Etna Rd. SW, Pataskala, OH 43062, with Rev. Dan Stires officiating.
