June M. Pettifor, 86 went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by family and friends on November 10, 2012 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. June was born on May 2, 1926 to the late Cecil and Amanda (Wingett) Chesser in Athens, Ohio. Survived by daughter Linda Johnson, granddaughters Tara (Mark) Lintz, Tabitha McConnell and Tiffany Johnson, great grandsons Jared and Jaden McConnell, sisters Martha Watkins, Ruth Ann Roberts and Carol Sue Mason. Preceded in death by husband Albert Pettifor, sister Joanne Stoolfire and son-in-law Danny Johnson. Friends may call at Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, Pataskala on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 6 to 8pm. Funeral service on Thursday at the funeral home at 1pm with Pastor Chip Koch officiating.
