Kenneth R. Dean, 90, of Pataskala, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 25, 1935 in Ashland, KY. Kenneth retired after a lengthy career with CSX Railroad as an engineer. He is survived by his children, Edward Lee (Kay) Dean and Ricky Dean; many grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Janet Dean, Geneva Ellis, Evelyn Powell and Gomer Dean; daughter-in-law, Velvet Liles and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Carol (Addis) Dean; children, Christopher Dean, Cathy Dowdy, Alan Dean and Timothy Dean; grandchild, Lacey M. Dean Lucas; siblings, Loretta Dean, Lenora Morgan and Doug Dean and daughter-in-law, Connie Dean. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Justin Ross officiating. Interment will be at Pataskala Cemetery.
