Lee P. Wemlinger

January 19, 1943February 8, 2021

Lee Wemlinger, 78, of Columbus, Ohio passed away in Tampa, Florida with his wife at his side on February 8, 2021. Lee was born on January 19, 1943 in Columbus, OH. He graduated from Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. After serving in the Army, in Viet Nam, he moved to Florida where he raised his family. He moved back to Ohio in 1990. He loved meeting and talking to people. Lee spent many loving moments with his family and friends. Lee was always there with a helping hand and to bring laughter to those around him. Lee was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by those who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara (Lindstrom) Wemlinger, two children Dori (Brad) Oiler and Jendi (Fred) Boggess and two step-children Jean (Lee) Parker and Debra Szekely and 9 grandchildren, David Oiler, William Oiler, Tyler Boggess, Jackson Boggess, Colton Boggess, Corbin Parker, Lydia Parker, Katie Szekely, and Joe Szekely. Son of the late Paul and Dorothy Wemlinger. Lee was brother to Dolores (Gordon) Cease and Judy (Kirk) Cross. A memorial service will be held at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home at 289 South Main Street, Pataskala, OH 43062. Service at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 24, 2021 with meet the family at 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
