Paul W Hammond

Paul W. Hammond, age 91 of Pataskala, passed away Saturday March 1, 2014 after a short illness. He was born on January 27, 1923 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Arthur and Margaret (Dugan) Hammond. He served his country in WWII serving in the US Navy. He was a 50 year member of the Knights of Pythias of Ohio, a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Pataskala and an avid Cincinnati Reds Fan. He enjoyed his family life, especially with his grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ralph A and Charles R Hammond and his sister Margaret York. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Faye Hammond, daughters Betty (Frank) Gieseck of Pataskala, Beverly Hammond of Toledo, and Barbara Hammond of Pataskala; sons Paul Ray Hammond of Pataskala, Tracy (Janice) Hammond of Thornville, grandsons Franklin P and Andrew G Gieseck , granddaughters Kristie and Angela Hammond, and numerous other family members.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the 1st Presbyterian Church of Pataskala in Paul’s memory.
