Peggy Chen Neary, age 86, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Pataskala Oaks Care Center surrounded by her family. She was born on March 20, 1939, in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Peggy was devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be remembered for her ornery spirit, thoughtfulness, and stubbornness. Peggy was always a kind, generous, and giving person. She is survived by her loving son, John (Kristin) Neary IV; grandchildren, John “Johnnie” (Lillian) Neary V and Cassie Neary; special friend, Shirley Sparks; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. Peggy is preceded in passing by her beloved husband of 38 years, John Neary III. Honoring Peggy’s wishes cremation is to take place, and a celebration of life is to held at a later date. Peggy will be laid to rest with her husband at Dayton National Cemetery.
