Richard W. Birney

Richard W. Birney, 72 of Pataskala, went home to be with his Lord on May 24, 2013. Born on February 26, 1941 to the late Wayne and Edithe (Moore) Birney in Cadiz, Ohio. Richard was a lifelong farmer and was the founder of Birney’s Miracle Farm Market. He used his knowledge and passion for farming as a ministry to serve others for the Glory of God. Survived by wife of 42 years Bonnie (White) Birney, children Richard “Andy” (Summer Fairman) Birney, Caren (Eric) Conkey, Eric (Jemimah) Birney, daughter-in-law Cory Birney, grandchildren Tommy, Abigail, Zachary, Natalie, and Phillip Birney, brother James (Patty) Birney, 4 nieces and 2 nephews. Friends may call at Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, Pataskala on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 5 to 8pm. Funeral service on Wednesday at 10am at the Etna United Methodist Church, 500 Pike St., Etna, Ohio with Pastor Chip Koch officiating. Burial to follow at Pataskala Cemetery.
