

Ronnie T. Dotson, 79, of Pataskala, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, after complications from open-heart surgery. He was born October 4, 1942, to Doffy and Mae (Starr) Dotson of Chattaroy, West Virginia, and had retired from Capital City Products Company of Columbus, Ohio, after his employment of 33 years. He loved returning to his hometown in West Virginia to visit his lifelong friends, family and to enjoy his high school reunions at his beloved Chattaroy. Ronnie was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. He also took pride in his meticulous landscaping and was a neighborhood mentor to anyone who needed it. Ronnie’s true passion was the love for his wife, Shadye, and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Ray (Viola) Starr, Wendell (Joyce) Starr, Ralph (Betty) Dotson, Charles Roy (Maxine) Dotson, Clifford (Lona) Dotson, Larry (Sheila) Dotson and sister, Alice (LaVerne) Copley.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Shadye, of the home; children, Kelly (Doug) Beyer, Ronnie Anthony Dotson, Samantha Otto, Shai (Michael) King, Edna (Mark) Thompson; ten grandchildren, Nathan, Brittney, Jimmy, Shadye, Anthony, Amber, Abbie, Mercedes, Mason and Zachary; ten great grandchildren, Angel, Payton, Austin, Harper, Liam, Layla, Noah, Maddox, Brantley and Shai; and lifelong friends, Charles (Dorothy) Henson and Ronald (Jean) Evans.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation is from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Reverend Harry Rader of the Salem Baptist Church will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Southwest Licking Historical Society.
