Ryland Pete Kemmerling, 83, of Pataskala, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 24, 1940 in Columbus, OH, a son to the late Ryland and Mildred (Galloway) Kemmerling. Ryland was a lifetime member and retired from IUOE Local 18 after 60 plus years of employment. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #340 and a member of Good Shepherd Community Church. Ryland is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Darlene (Decker); sons, Troy (Kendra) and Shawn (Jessica); grandchildren, Brenden, Brody, Blake, Parker and Griffin; and many nieces, nephews, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. In addition to his parents, Ryland is preceded in death by his grandson, Preston Lane and brother, Lowry “Whitey” (Nancy). Friends may call from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday with Dr. Maurice Martindale officiating. Interment will be at Pataskala Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bella Care Hospice, 110 Polaris Parkway, Suite 302, Westerville, OH 43082 in Ryland’s memory.
