Gary and Elle : My heart is saddened for you both. No one expected this to happen. It will seem unreal for a long time as it did when Bill left this world 9 years ago. I have been very grateful to Scarlet for letting our family take Star and loving her as one of our own. It was an unselfish thing to do on her part and I thank her for staying in Star's life for all these years. Without Scarlet there would be no Starlet and We all would be missing a very big part of our lives. We will all miss you Scarlet. and love you . Gary stay well and Elle hold on to your dreams.

(Continued)
I thank you for picking Gary to be my Stepfather. He has always been a caring, kind, and generous man to me. I pray for him and Elle as they walk through this transition. They are the ones that will feel your loss, the most. I am grateful the three of you had one another and that you had the opportunity to raise a child of your own. It is one of the greatest privileges we have in a lifetime.
Thank you for your kindness and compassion for all living creatures. Your love for animals was like nobody else. This was one of your best qualities. Thank you for how much you cared for your family and how you suited up and showed up for your brother’s kids after they passed away. It takes a special person to do that.
You were always one of my biggest advocates. I feel like you were rooting me on, to do whatever I was trying to do. I feel like you have always believed in me, even when I wasn’t able to believe in myself. I know we’ve had our share of disagreements but I believe a lot of that comes from being so much alike. We look alike, we think alike. We are alike.

I could write a book of what I want to say to you. I could go on forever talking about our memories. But I will end for now. I just wanted to share a few memories and tell you thank you. You were a beautiful human being. You were a force of nature and as strong willed as they come, but I know how much you loved each and every one of us, in your own way. I am grateful you had a relationship with Jesus and a strong faith. I am sorry I don’t have more time with you. One more conversation, one more hug and a kiss, one more amends. Until we meet again, I love you.

Your daughter,
Star
