Even though we are far away in distance, our sadness and tears are no less for you and your family on the loss of your husband and father. Tom was such a wonderful man. We all have good memories of him through the years. He was so involved in the PASCO organization. I know that Virgil enjoyed working with him so much on Ameri-Flora and the Asian Festivals and all of the other activities. I am sure that everyone appreciated his dedication to the Filipino community and to his family. For me, he was always a welcome face in the crowd, sometimes he and I were the only two people in the room with light hair! He was always so nice to me, making me feel welcome at the parties, especially when Virgil and I were first dating and going to the PASCO events. It was so nice of him to always talk to me. My boys recalled going to your home and farm for Pig Roasts and also to pick strawberries. They were young but they really enjoyed picking the strawberries with grandma and making dessert for everyone at her house. I know that Dr. V. thought the world of Tom too, that just goes without saying and Lina is heartbroken for you. Our tears could fill a river right now and we wish we could be there for you in person but our thoughts and prayers will have to do for now in this time of grief. May your wonderful memories of him bring you comfort now and the love of your family, friends and the Lord Jesus Christ fill you up with only joy and the peace that this world cannot give. We have never forgotten you, Tom or your children. Sending love to you from our family, Virgil, Sharon, Michael and Daniel Villavecer Also Rosalina Villavecer and Elena Dulay

I am so sorry to hear that Tom has passed over and in such a hard way. Orfie, you and Tom were such a fun filled blessing to all of us at the Jitterbug Cafe and in the Sockhop Club in Columbus. I miss you and will always carry with me, only the most pleasant thoughts of the happiness you and Tom shared. He would not want you to be afraid, Orfie, but will watch over you always.

My heartfelt sympathies to all the family. Tom taught me a lot about construction/carpentry when I worked for him in high school. This tragedy caused me to reflect on many memories, but here are a few to note:
• My first week on the job, after he taught me how to work a circular saw, I cut the cord off. He was totally patient with the mistake.
• Another greenhorn moment came when we were on ladders siding a house. I leaned out too far nailing and the ladder flipped and slid into Tom - who grabbed the ladder and threw us back safely to the wall. We were 20 feet up. He was totally patient with my mistake.
• Yet again another time, I dropped my hammer from a ladder and it hit his head while working below me. He simply said: "You gotta watch that".
The point: He was always a gracious and kind man. I wish I could be talking with him now to tell him that.

My prayers to all related as family or friend!

Tom gave us a gift for life when he built a beautiful deck on the back of our house. When we are out there, which is quite often, we always feel grateful that he built it for us. Tom, you will always be in our hearts. Steve and I will miss you.
