I was saddened to hear the news of Sue's passing. My mind immediately went back to when she was my youth group leader at Summit Baptist. She helped shape so many lives and taught us about the Kingdom. I am blessed to have known her and can't wait to sing with her again. What a day of rejoicing it will be!

I have such fond memories of when we were little cousins playing together at your house in the country. Thank you for all your good work for the Lord. I know God is blessing you and your family. Rest in peace and enjoy your eternal life in Heaven!

I was at a loss when I heard the news about Sue. She was a tremendious woman of God. I loved her very much. It was a great joy to have prayed with her, sang with her and to have worked with her at the State Convention Office for 5 years. She will be greatly missed. Our love and prayers are with you all.

It is so hard to believe that Sue was at church last Sunday and then on Monday she unexpectedly went to be with the Lord. My Prayers go out to the entire family, but especially to David, Lydia,Tabitha, and the grandchildren. Sue's legacy lives on in the seeds of her faith that she planted and the Christian love she extended to all. She always had a smile on her face and  a radiance that could only be the Holy Spirit within.

To the Sligh and Freeman family,  I am sorry I am unable to be there at this time.  I have such wonderful childhood memories of Sue and her family that I will remember and cherish forever.  May God grant you peace during this sad time and in the days ahead.

Your mother and I spent many hours serving the Lord together at WBC and at the State Convention.  Many memories come to mind most notable of her bringing clothes to the boys after Lee Anne's death. The name Sue Sligh evokes so many feelings and pictures for me. A good friend, a great co-worker, and a dedicated servant of our Lord, Our great God equipped her to do so many things to enhance the body of Christ. Sunday school teacher, choir member, soloist, GA, Acteen, and women's bible study leader. Deacons wife, camp counselor, prayer warrior, deaf signor, hospitality coordinator, soul winner. She was always willing to serve and in any and every capacity imaginable. It has been my distinct privilege to have worked and worshiped with her these past 11 years. What a legacy she leaves for her family and friends. Two things I know for certain, I can't replace her and I'll never forget her. To David, Lydia, Tabitha and all the family, may our Lord comfort you during this difficult time and in the days ahead. Proverbs 31:10-31

I am saddened and beside myself at the sudden passing of Sue, who I fondly remember from my friendship with her and her family in my years of membership at Whitehall Baptist Church, and, more recently through my family's continued association with her at FB of Groveport.  I cannot recall any occasion with her where she did not have a smile on her face or a song in her heart.  These past few months have been trying for us, but, I am reminded that our God is an awesome God.  Our temporary loss is Heaven's eternal gain... she will be missed.

I came to know Sue from my tenure on the Foundation Board. My contact with her came two times a year. It was clear that Sue had a heart for people and her family. Her deep love for Christ was most evident. I will always remember her great smile and her laughter when we had our "funny" moments in meetings. Sue openly shared about her family which clearly showed the love that she had for all of you. She surprised me one time when in conversation she shared how many people she had coming over for Thanksgiving dinner. That was truly an indicator of how close your family is.  May God comfort you in this difficult time.
