Virginia Ruth Susil, 91, of Pataskala, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. She was born on November 21, 1931 in Columbus, OH, a daughter to the late Clarence and Hazel (Best) Oeffler. Virginia is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, John Susil Sr.; brother, Jim Oeffler; daughter-in-law, Kay Susil and brother-in-law, Jim Bagby. She is survived by her loving children, John Jr. (Patti) Susil, Michael J. Susil, Robert E. (Donna) Susil and Suzanne (John) Hobbs; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Lola Bagby and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230, with Father PeterClaver Kasasa Kiviiri officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Charitable Works, 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 in Virginia’s memory.
