William Walter Kean

William Walter Kean, age 71, of Pataskala, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at his home. Born August 16, 1942 in Greensburg, PA, he graduated from Norwin High School (Irwin, PA) and Penn State University. Bill enjoyed a software engineering career as a distinguished member of the technical staff at Bell Labs/Lucent Technologies, and was an active member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Pataskala. He is predeceased by his parents Kenneth William and Frances (Morcom) Kean and brother Kenneth Eugene Kean. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 47 years, Sally (Hauber) Kean; son, Jason (Emily) Kean; daughter, Krissa (Christopher) Kean Spence; grandchildren, Jack, Sam, and Linden. Visitation hours 4-7 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at KAUBER-SAMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main Street, Pataskala. Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Pataskala, 405 S. Main Street. The Rev. Dennis Witt officiating. Interment Pataskala Cemetery. Donations in Bill's memory may be made to the church or OhioHealth Hospice (614-566-5377).
