This is not my writing. But my Brother David wrote this and I believe it is wonderful.

When I saw my father before he passed, he was laying down, but his head was propped up by pillows, his right arm holding the rail as if he was going on a ride. He was looking ahead eyes wide open, and by the expression upon his face, it was like looking at someone he knew but had not seen in some time that he was looking at.

His eyes were his and didnt seem afraid. It almost like his lifeline, had left for a new room in heaven.

Perhaps God let me see him like this, while just about to walk into his own future, a future I hope to share with him and my mother some day. Perhaps he was pointing too, for me, to look ahead, and not behind.

He, like my mother, was an engine of productivity; a demonstrator of resolve; an extraordinarily independent person who didn't give a hoot about what others thought of him, yet regulated himself to be useful in nearly every setting.

I thank God for my father, and for the blessing that he was. If people only knew what he came from, they would understand how great a father to me and William Kurt Pollock he was.
I will never understand the greatness of God and how I got so lucky with two great parents, gifts that are so much bigger than we deserve; I will never understand it, and I just hope to someone show Him that I love Him for this and so many other things, that it is beyond my being's capacity to express.

Never forget to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you, and I hope my father was as proud as me as father as was of him. I have big shoes to fill. I was very lucky to get to work along side my father for many years.

Thanks to all that have reached out.
