Franklin Cody Bashon

February 3, 1974December 29, 2018

Frank was born February 3, 1974 in Nyssa, Oregon and taken from us suddenly on December 29, 2018. He attended school in Ontario, Oregon, where he excelled in football and wrestling.

He enjoyed fishing with his dad and brothers, or anybody who said, “Wanna go fishing?” He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends and just “hanging out”. Frank loved his family and friends deeply and would give you the shirt off his back. He was a free spirit, who loved life, and lived it to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leland Bashon, Sr.; his grandparents, Frank Magrini, Reinie Bashon, and Charlene Dealy; his uncle, Robert “Bob” Bashon, a brother, Adare Cleveland; and niece, Violet Bashon.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Toni and Will Simonds; his grandmother, Beth Magrini; his stepmother, Ann Bason; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Leland “Rusty”, Jr. and Cammie Bashon and Colin and Melinda Bashon; his brothers, Christopher Bashon and James “Bubba” Ambright; his nieces and nephews, Danielle (Jeremy) Nelson, Brady Bashon, Damian Bashon, Deklyn Bashon, Marissa Dalrymple, Dallas Whitfield, Shannowa (Robert) Carver, Hawk Dalrymple, Kelly Hyde, and Ashly Gaskill. I never met Franklin but I was at the rest stop when he died. I was so sad that he was in such a terrible accident and so sorry for his family and friends who would miss him terribly. I enjoyed reading the memories on here so I could see a glimpse of who Franklin was, thank you. The only thing I was able to do was to pray for all of his friends and loved ones.

Damn it "Little Brother", I have way to many memories to share just one. I wish we could have had more time to do some fishin', seems we didn't get to do enough the last couple of years. We had our share of bad and good times, you were a pain in the ass "Little Brother" but I was proud of the man you became. I was always proud to call you my Little Brother. I'll never forget the fishing times with Grandpa Magrini at Cascade and North Idaho with Uncle Max, Dad and Grandpa N Grandma Bashon out on the Owyhee. Swimming at Cascade, around Green Bluff, Wa, or just where ever we could jump in the water.

You changed my life almost 45 years ago. I thought I had lost you, the day I brought you into this world, when I heard those devastating words, "The cord's around his neck!"
You fought for breath and life then and everyday since.
I hope you have found whatever you had been searching for. You certainly made a lot of friends along the way!!
I'm so proud of the man you became.
Mommy loves and misses you.

You were always sending me jokes to make me laugh. We were always promising eachother we would get together soon. Miss you. My heart is broken.

Frankie, you were one of my first friends as a child, from kindergarten or 1st grade. We stayed the night at each other’s houses, jumped our bikes off rickety homemade ramps and shot slingshots and BB guns. Your mom made the biggest pancakes I’d ever seen!! I have a lot of great memories with you. You will be missed my friend but you will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace Frank.

Frankie, RIP brother...see you on the other side. We had some crazy good times and I always felt like you had my back, even after years is just the type of soul you are.

Frankie was one of the kindest man I've known. With the biggest heart. He worked really hard to turn is life around and had done it. My family was blessed to have had him as part of it. He will forever be in our hearts.
