Harold Leroy Kuhlman passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6th, 2019, at the age of 90. Harold was born on December 18th, 1928 in Torrance, CA. to Otto Kuhlman and Amelia Bolz Kuhlman. The family moved to Idaho in 1931 where Harold attended school in Fruitland. At the age of 20, Harold thought he would try his hand at farming, so he farmed for himself south of Fruitland for two years until he was drafted into the Army in October of 1950; serving in Germany. Harold loved farming so much, he took a job with American Fine Foods in Payette, where he retired from.
He met and married Janet Simmons in December of 1954 and to this union three children was born; Lilli, Fritz and Lisa. They were later divorced.
Harold married Hazel Sparks Squibb on May 17, 1979 and she brought with her six kids. Yep, that’s right, SIX! Bringing the total to NINE! Harold loved his kids and grandkids to the moon and back!
Harold is survived by his sister, Rosemary Hulen of San Pablo, CA; his nine children, Lilli Kuhlman of Ontario, OR, Fritz Kuhlman of Payette, ID, Lisa (Brian) Wood of Nyssa, OR, Janis Bienapfl (Archie Meza) of Wilder, ID, Dave (Dorothea) Squibb of Greenleaf, ID, Judy Franklin of Twin Falls, ID, Dwaine Squibb of Parma, ID, Jeanne (Garren) Taylor of Wendell, ID, Danny (RaChelle) Squibb of Fruitland, ID; as well as his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Harold is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Kuhlman; his brothers, Dick and Allen Kuhlman; and two grandchildren, Jessica Franklin and Albert Kuhlman.
Rest In Peace Dad. We love you and will miss you greatly.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 13th at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth. Services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. I worked at American Fine Foods with Harold. He was very good at his job. Always friendly to me. Enjoyed knowing him. Praying that God will surround u with his love and friends to help u find peace
