

Ronald L. Cosner, 70, of Payette, died August 11, 2017 surrounded by family and friends after a short battle with cancer. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, Aug. 17th from 5 pm to 7:30 pm with military honors at 5:30 pm at the Portia Club 255 N 9th St. Payette. Cremation is under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.
Ron was born March 13, 1947 in Newton, Iowa, son of Roscoe and Romayne (Martz) Cosner. He attended school in Longmont, Colorado. Ron was a Navy Veteran serving from 1968-1969.
He has resided in Payette since 1984 when he began working for McCrea Heating and Plumbing where he was employed until retiring in April 2009.
He loved camping, fishing, hunting and genuinely enjoyed the outdoors – mostly with his dog Billy. Ron would often take his two granddaughters, Chantell and Bryanna, camping and fishing.
Ron is survived by one daughter, Robynn (Cosner) Johnson and son-in-law Jimmy of Amarillo, Texas; three granddaughters, six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; one sister Connie (Cosner) Shea of Broomfield, Colorado; and one brother Randy Cosner of Payette. His parents and a brother Richard Cosner preceded him in death.
