Ruth Evon Baskett

Ruth Evon Gray Baskett was born January 8, 1934 to Mae Gray. She grew up in Fruitland, Idaho and attended Fruitand and Payette schools. She married H. Neil Baskett on June 21, 1951. He passed away in February of 2005. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Howard Adkins, and Drs Hecker and Ocker for several years before starting her own business, The Woman's Touch. She owned and operated the business until her retirement. She belonged to Job's Daughters as a young girl and was elected Honored Queen. After her marriage, she joined Lady Lions. She loved going to the leader dog schools and seeing the puppies and young dogs. She also loved to garden. She is survived by her three children, Pam Baskett of Purdy, MO, Terry Baskett and his wife Gail of Payette, and Greg and his wife Sandy of Payette; six grandchildren, Jackie Langley of Monett, MO, Sean Baskett (Noel) of Payette, Anne Watson (Joe) of Purdy, MO, Nathan Baskett (Jessica) of Payette, Alex Baskett (Kristin) of Salt Lake City, UT and Joel Baskett (Lindsey) of Waverly, IA, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandsons.
