Terry Douglas Swisher

Terry D. Swisher, 85, of Payette, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at St. Alphonsus Medical Center – Ontario. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 2nd at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, 10350 N. Iowa Ave., Payette. Services are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Terry was born in Powell, South Dakota on May 25, 1929 to Cecil and Eunice (Thiemann) Swisher. He attended school in Payette. He worked as a truck driver for May Trucking Co. and as a cement contractor. Terry enjoyed playing pool with his friends at the Senior Center.

He was preceded in death by his wife Judy; his son Ron Swisher; and grandson Jacob Swisher. Terry is survived by his daughters Susan Becker (Roger) of Albany, OR and Shari Bachmann (Larry) of Crescent City, CA; a sister Georgia Wood of Yamhill, OR; six grandchildren Anthony, Heather, Jason, Amanda, Lindsay, and Troy; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
