Annie Lou Funderburke began her peaceful transition into Glory on March 4, 2015, in Newnan, GA. She was born on February 11, 1923 in Bainbridge, GA to Bertha and Moses Johnson. Ann taught third grade for many years at Plant City Elementary School in Hillsborough County, FL. She and her husband, J.L., resided in Temple Terrace for over 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jefferson Lee "J.L." Funderburke, and her youngest son, Randy. Ann is survived by her eldest son, Larry of Fayetteville, GA; and her daughter, Peggy of Albany, NY. She was also blessed with four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Temple Terrace United Methodist Church at 10:00am on Monday, March 16, 2015. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, J.L. Funderburke, in Sunset Memory Gardens in Tampa, FL following the services.
