Carolyn Rita Walker

Mrs. Carolyn Foley Walker, 80, of Atlanta, passed away on October 24, 2022. She was born in Crawfordsville, IN on June 2, 1942 to the late Frederick C. Foley and Cathleen Cullen Foley. She was one of eight children and was raised in Detroit, MI. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob Walker.

She was a long-time member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church and worked in the school after care program. Mrs. Walker was very spiritual and spent many hours volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul. She enjoyed drawing and writing poems.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas E. “Tommy” Walker and his wife, Bambi of Jonesboro; and Cory Burk and his wife Holly Funk of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren, Michael Edwin Walker and Sandra Elaine Walker; sister, Veronica Lewis of Canton, MI; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass Celebration of Life for Mrs. Walker will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 230 Arnold Street, Hapeville, GA 30354. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5755 Mallory Road, College Park, GA 30349.
