

Dontae graduated from Ombudsman in 2008. He had a passion for giraffes, Kobe Bryant, basketball and music. He loved spending time with his four children, Heaven, Amira, Kyrie ,and Kali and traveling with his wife, Nya. He loved to laugh, make others happy and was always the life of the party at family events. He was also a founding member of the podcast “Everybody Talks, Nobody Listens” with Deangelo Miller and Andre Joseph.
Dontae is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Kim Frierson and David Bonner; and great-grandmothers, Rosie Minter and Alberta Young.
Dontae leaves a large and loving family to cherish his awesome memory: his beloved wife, Nya Blaze; his Son, Kyrie Blaze; his daughters, Heaven Blaze, Amira Gaines, and Kali Pearce; his Parents, Andrea Blaze, Anthony (Nicole) Young Sr. and Carlos Nash; his brothers, Corey (Keyauna) Greene Jr., Brandon (Kearra) Blaze, Jaylen Blaze, Jayden Blaze, Shawn Copeland, Anthony Nixon, Anthony Young Jr., Christopher Hill, DeAngelo Miller, Jarin Young, Jayce Campbell, and Mykel Pierre; his sisters, DeHale Foote, Jordyn Blaze, Bianca Young, Ciera Young, Cherish Riggins, Kathryn Young, Sapphire Young, Vanessa Regan, and Juanita Napper; his titis-Kacey and Chwanda Frierson-Nixon; his uncles, Christoper (Sarah) Frierson, Melvin (Allison) Young, Geoffrey McCracken, SaDeeka Young, and Eddie Davis; his grandparents-Glenda Coburn, Lester Blaze, and Alice Young; his special family members, Kimoni Frierson, Kimari Frierson, Kimron Frierson, Destiny Atkins, Robin Minter, Robert Minter, Nycole Minter, Andre Joseph, Zyon Cooks, and Rojae Paul; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 9:00am-10:30am, on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory in Peachtree City, GA.
A private funeral service will be held later for the family.
