Mr. Emile LeClair, Jr., age 88, of Peachtree City, GA formerly of East Point & Atlanta, passed away on May 4, 2011. He was a WW2 Veteran, serving 3 years in the US Navy. He is a retiree of the Bell System with 39 years at Southern Bell. Emile was preceded in death by his parents, Emile, Sr. & Lottie T. LeClair, brothers Wm. F. LeClair & A. Jack LeClair. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joan B. LeClair; daughters & son-in-law, Sherill LeClair, Suzanne & Ron Jones; son & daughter-in-law, Emile Charles & Jean M. LeClair; and 4 granddaughters, Kristin Jones Pottinger, Jennifer, Katheryn, & Emilie LeClair. Family will receive friends at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA on Friday, May 6, 2011 from 1:30pm-3:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Peachtree City, GA on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 11:00am. He will lie in state from 10:00am-10:50am. Interment will follow at 2:45pm at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, GA.
