Fidel Ernesto Flores Serpas

Born on October 12, 1971, on the east coast of El Salvador in San Miguel, Fidel was the cherished son of Hilda Flores Serpas and Jesus Flores Villatoro. To all who knew him, he was a beloved husband, a devoted father, and a best friend to many.

In pursuit of a better life for his family and to chase his American dream, Fidel made a courageous decision to immigrate to the United States in November 1998. Starting as a landscaper, he displayed unwavering dedication and worked his way up, becoming not only a respected professional but also a mentor to countless others.

Beyond his strong work ethic, Fidel had an incredible sense of humor, always brightening our days with his infectious laughter and witty jokes. Yet, amidst his humor, he knew when to be serious, and he often spoke about the significance of leading a life filled with humility and happiness.

Among his passions, golf held a special place in his heart, and recently he had embraced cycling as well. His commitment to his health was unwavering, and he enjoyed watching sports, particularly soccer and baseball, with an infectious enthusiasm that was hard to match.

Fidel was a man who knew how to savor the simple pleasures of life. He had a profound love for the beach, finding solace in the gentle rhythm of the waves. Music was another source of joy, and whether it was the electrifying beats of rock or the soothing melodies of jazz, he relished every note.

Cooking for others was an act of love for him, and he found joy in seeing smiles on the faces of those he fed. Fidel wasn't the best dancer, but he would light up any room with his moves, inviting everyone to join in the celebration of life.

His generosity knew no bounds, and he possessed a compassionate spirit that inspired us all. At any gathering, he would make sure everyone felt welcomed, going above and beyond to ensure no one's glass was empty, a reflection of his caring and nurturing nature.

As we say our final goodbyes to Fidel, we hold close the memories of a man who touched our lives in profound ways. His legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will live on in our hearts forever. Let us carry forward his wisdom, his zest for life, and his unwavering spirit of giving. Papi, you will be deeply missed, but your memory will forever be a guiding light in our lives.

Fidel is survived by his wife, Sathiana; and his only child, Fidel. He is also survived by his mother, Hilda Serpas Viuda de Flores; his 3 brothers, Mario Flores, Jesus Flores, Carlos Flores; and his sisters, Carolina Flores, Sofia Flores, Delmy Flores, and Rosa Maria Flores.

There will be two funeral services to celebrate the life of Fidel Flores. Both of the services will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 in the chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, 135 Senoia Road, Peachtree City, GA 30269. The first will be a Catholic service starting at 1:00pm and the second service will be a Buddhist service at 2:30pm. Friends and family are welcome to attend either service or both.

Fidel Ernesto Flores Serpas, de 51 años, de San Salvador, El Salvador, falleció inesperadamente el 2 de agosto.

Nacido el 12 de octubre de 1971, en la costa este de El Salvador, en San Miguel, Fidel era el querido hijo de Hilda Flores Serpas y Jesús Flores Villatoro. Para todos los que lo conocieron, fue un amado esposo, un devoto padre y el mejor amigo de muchos.

En busca de una vida mejor para su familia y para perseguir su sueño americano, Fidel tomó la valiente decisión de emigrar a los Estados Unidos en noviembre de 1998. Comenzando como diseñador de jardines, mostró una dedicación inquebrantable y ascendió, convirtiéndose no solo en un profesional respetado, sino también en un mentor para innumerables personas.

Más allá de su sólida ética de trabajo, Fidel tenía un increíble sentido del humor, siempre alegrando nuestros días con su risa contagiosa y sus ingeniosos chistes. Sin embargo, en medio de su humor, sabía cuándo ser serio, y a menudo hablaba sobre la importancia de llevar una vida llena de humildad y felicidad.

Entre sus pasiones, el golf ocupaba un lugar especial en su corazón, y recientemente había adoptado el ciclismo también. Fidel estaba comprometido con su salud y disfrutaba viendo deportes, especialmente fútbol y béisbol, con un entusiasmo contagioso que era difícil de igualar.

Fidel era un hombre que sabía saborear los placeres simples de la vida. Tenía un profundo amor por la playa, encontrando consuelo en el suave ritmo de las olas. La música era otra fuente de alegría, y ya fueran los vibrantes ritmos del rock o las melodías reconfortantes del jazz, él disfrutaba de cada nota.

Cocinar para los demás era un acto de amor para él, y encontraba felicidad en ver sonrisas en los rostros de quienes alimentaba. Fidel no podía bailar bien, pero iluminaba cualquier lugar con sus movimientos, invitando a todos a unirse a la celebración de la vida.

Fidel deja atrás a su esposa Sathiana y a su único hijo, Fidel. También le sobreviven su madre, Hilda Serpas Viuda de Flores, sus tres hermanos, Mario Flores, Jesús Flores, Carlos Flores, y sus hermanas, Carolina Flores, Sofía Flores, Delmy Flores y Rosa María Flores.

Se llevarán a cabo dos servicios conmemorativos para celebrar la vida de Fidel Flores el miércoles, 9 de agosto. El primer servicio será católico y comenzará a la 1:00 p.m., y el segundo servicio será budista a las 2:30 p.m. Amigos y familiares están invitados a asistir a uno o ambos servicios. Los servicios conmemorativos se llevarán a cabo en Carmichael - Hemperley Funeral Home en 135 Senoia Road, Peachtree City, GA 30269.
