"THE LOVE OF FRED"
The A Day in the Life of Fred you see
Was full of Pizza, Fun and yes TV.
He loved his shows of all types and degrees
There were movies, series, oldies and yep those rated “D”
The TV was on from morning till night
As soon as he woke up he held the control tight.
We laughed and cried watching the tube
Twas a family affair that friends and family knew.
One of our family favorites was of fun and not fright,
with a Giant, Sicilian and Dread Pirate Roberts in tights.
He loved the outdoors, the mountains and the beach,
We’d travel as a family, where he’d find something to point out and teach.
His knowledge abound and memory so quick and sharp,
He’d amaze you with trivia and well damn he was smart.
He had a love for animals and they did love him back,
True companions he said that would always have your back.
Mechanic by trade and good with his tools
He kept the cars running but the motorcycles would rule.
No washing the cars that was saved for the bikes,
His Yamaha and Harley were to look out of sight.
He rode rain or shine to work and to play
We had lots of adventures together along the way.
We rode north, we rode south, we rode east, but not west;
We rode to Texas and even down to Key West.
Twas an adventure with him, he never made plans,
He’d say lets hop on the bike and see where it ends.
His family and children were high on his list,
He enjoyed talking, playing and was fine just to sit.
The Love in his heart was so strong and so steady,
We knew we were loved by his smiles and hugs a plenty.
He was a good soul and would help anyone in need,
He wanted nothing in return for he received it already you see.
He knew right from wrong and never did he sway,
He grew up with manners and that was his way.
The memories of family and his children ran deep,
He loved them so much sometimes he couldn’t speak.
In words, and things, from hugs and kisses
to gestures and traditions that what we’ll be missing.
He was strong to the core and never gave up,
A Marine thru and thru, but sweet as a pup.
I could ramble all day how wonderful Fred is,
If you were family or friend you’d know . . . Fred was and is.
