He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Patsy Colley Geeter, in June of 2013.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff Geeter and wife, Diane Frazier, Andy Geeter, and wife, Karen Geeter; grandchildren, Zachary, Kevin, Eric, and Katie Geeter; brother, Jim Geeter and wife, Marjorie; sister, Martha Austin and husband, Walter; brother-in-law, Richard Colley and wife, Paulette; sister-in-law, Barbara Colley; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2015 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:00am in the chapel at the funeral home with Rev. Tommy Ross officiating.
Doc will be buried next to his wife, Patsy at Shawmut City Cemetery in Valley, AL at 4:00pm (EDT).
Directions from Peachtree City, GA: Take I-85 S toward Montgomery, AL. Take exit 79 (US-29) toward Lanett/Valley, AL. Merge onto S. Broad Avenue (US-29 N). Turn left on S 21st Street. Cemetery at end of S 21st Street.
