Mr. James (Jim) Jones, age 71 of Sharpsburg, GA passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Linda Jones; son, Mike Jones and wife, Diane of Newnan, GA; daughter, Christy Bennett and husband, Marvin of Moreland, GA; grandchildren, Daniel and Katie Jones, and Ashlynn Bennett; sisters, Judy Lindsey and Brenda Wallace. A funeral service will be held at East Newnan Baptist Church in Newnan, GA on Monday, August 2, 2010 at 11:00 am with Rev. Pat Latta officiating. Interment to follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park, GA. Visitation will be held at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA on Sunday, August, 1, 2010 from 6:00-8:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to East Newnan Baptist Church building fund.
