“Papa Jim”

Jim was born Sept. 21st1929 in Winchester Kansas. He worked for and retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons after serving 4 years in the U.S. Army. After his retirement, he continued to work for years to support his very large family of six children but he really loved his work at Saint Philip Benizi Church. He “worked” in the print shop, was active in the Knights of Columbus, volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul alongside his beloved wife Catherine. Although, his greatest happiness came from spending time with his family.
Jim is survived by his sons Patrick, Paul and Chris; daughters Diane, Mary and Margery; daughter-in-law Kimberly; son-in-law Mike King; six grandchildren, Mikey (Kimberly), Josh (Carissa), Jennifer (Tony), James (Becky), Nathan (Virginia) and Trevor (Mollie); eight great grandchildren, Morgan, Mason, Savannah, Jackson, Colton, Sophie, Daniel and Aldyn. Jim also has two precious great grandsons on the way: Mercer James and August Francis, both with names honoring their Papa Jim. He is also survived by his brother Mike (Cheryl) and sister Rosemary Bradford.
Jim is preceded in death by his beautiful wife Catherine; Mother and Father, Vera Hosler Sieben and James Sieben; Brothers Bernard Sieben and William Sieben and his Aunt Laverne Sieben.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Jonesboro, GA on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 10:30am. A visitation will be held at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 9:00pm.
Jim was loved greatly by his family and friends and will be missed terribly. In lieu of flowers, Jim has requested that donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
