Jennifer Hasty Walden

Jenny was born on October 19, 1954, at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, GA. to the late Dr. Lewis & Sally Hasty. She grew up in East Point, GA, attending Dodson Drive Elementary & Headland High School. She completed her early childhood Education undergraduate & masters degrees at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. She met her husband, Jim Walden, while working at the underground Wax Museum in Atlanta, GA.

After Marrying Jim, they lived in Memphis, TN, Kingsport, TN & finally settled in League City, TX. Jim was a Chemical Engineer & Jenny Taught in elementary school.

Tragically Jim lost his life to a very short battle with pancreatic cancer in 2004. Jenny taught for several more years & then retired after 30+ years & enjoyed spending time with friends & neighbors.

While Struggling with several health issues, Jenny finally relocated to Peachtree City, GA in June of 2024 to be near family. Her health issues continued until her passing.

She is survived by her brother, Dr. Jeff Hasty & his wife, Janet of Kennesaw, GA; their children, Steven Hasty of Brooklyn, NY & Karen Hasty (Shahin); and their son, Darwin of Marietta, GA. Jenny is also survived by her other, brother Rick Hasty, his wife, Jeannie; and their daughter, Emma Hasty of Peachtree City, GA.

A private service will be held later at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.
