John moved to Georgia when he was 4 years old. He was an Alumni of Colonial Hills Christian School. He attended Georgia State University. He worked his junior summer at AAFES Warehouse at Fort Gillem and started working at the Original Chick-fil-A Dwarf House in Hapeville, GA after graduation. He worked for them for 22 years and then for Firehouse Subs and lastly at Jersey Mike’s in Senoia, GA for a month. At each place of employments, he managed to get to know a numerous amount of people and touched their lives whether it was asking how their meal was or helping them to their car with their order.
John is preceded in death by his parents; and his grandparents, M. L. Rodgers and Flora Rodgers.
He is survived by his sister, Keturah DeLye North and brother-in-law, Jason A. North; 2 step-nieces; 2 step-nephews; as well as numerous cousins.
