Judith “Judy” Kimball Headrick, 71, of Newnan, GA, went to be with her Savior on November 30, 2025, at 9 p.m. She was born on August 15, 1954, in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Raymond Finley Kimball and Margaret Inez (Roberts) Duckwiler.
Judy grew up in Jacksonville, where she formed lifelong friendships that remained close to her heart. In 1981 she made her way to Riverdale, GA, where she raised her three children and built a life rooted in love, grit, and devotion.
Judy spent most of her career as a dedicated legal secretary, serving several law firms with professionalism and care. In the later years of her life, she built her own transcription business.
Above all else, Judy loved her family. She loved nothing more in life than her three children and seven grandchildren, and she poured herself into every part of their lives—dances, baseball games, band concerts, karate tournaments, and every moment in between. She was fiercely protective of her children and had a firecracker streak if anyone dared to cross them.
Judy lived life with a bright, unforgettable spirit. She was quick-witted, sharp-tongued in the funniest way, and could deliver comebacks that kept everyone laughing. She danced in her chair with her arms in the air, cracked jokes at just the right timing, and had a way of keeping everyone on their toes. To know her was to absolutely love her. She was also devoutly religious and deeply committed to her church family, offering her time and heart in service to others.
Her warmth, kindness, and steady presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her absence will be felt daily, but her memory will continue in every life she touched, every laugh she sparked, and every moment she made brighter simply by being herself.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Russell Kimball.
Judy is survived by her brother, Bruce Kimball, her sister, Teresa White. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Valerie Parrish (Dee) of Charleston, SC; Kelli Wood (Brad) of Covington, GA; and Christopher Freyermuth (Abby) of Senoia, GA. Judy was the proud and adoring grandmother of Hailey Odom, Madison Grillo, Morgan Odom, Aubree Wood, Elijah Freyermuth, Grayson Sanders, and Ella Sanders. She also leaves behind her two cherished dogs, Charlie and Rupert, who brought her daily joy.
A visitation will be held at Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Sharpsburg, GA on December 5, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. The funeral service will follow the visitation, at the same venue.
Internment will be on December 6, 2025 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lake City, FL.
