Libertad Adriams Beraza passed peacefully on January 27, 2026, after a valiant and courageous battle with leukemia. Surrounded by love, she was freed from earthly suffering and reunited with her beloved husband of thirty years, Eric Marcus Beraza, whom she deeply missed. Libertad lived a life defined by devotion—to her family, her friends, and all those she welcomed into her heart.

Libertad was a devoted wife, a loving and fiercely proud mother, and a deeply cherished presence in the lives of her stepchildren, Elaine, Marcus, and Suzan. She embraced them fully and unconditionally, forming bonds rooted in genuine affection, mutual respect, and enduring love. Family, to Libertad, was defined not by labels but by love, and she gave that love freely, generously, and without reservation.

One of her greatest joys was her son, Moises, with whom she shared a profound and unbreakable bond. Though they were at different stages of life, Moises and his older step-siblings were united by Libertad’s steady presence and care, and by the love she cultivated among them as a family. In her final days, Moises was by her side, speaking words of love, gratitude, and reassurance—honoring the life she gave him and the strength, dignity, and devotion with which she lived.

Born in the Dominican Republic, Libertad was the youngest of eight children. She earned her associate’s degree in accounting, approaching her studies with diligence and determination. She and Eric traveled extensively, delighting in discovering places beyond the typical tourist paths, always curious and eager to experience the world more deeply. Many of their happiest years were spent in Miami, enjoying their home, family, and a circle of dear friends.

Throughout her life, Libertad formed deep and lasting friendships—many of which she treasured as “sisters.” These incredible women formed an incredible web of support for each other over the years. In 2025, she relocated to Fayetteville to be closer to family and to enjoy the beauty of four seasons.

Libertad had a keen eye for treasures and knew every thrift shop in the area, delighting to find the perfect bargain. She was famously organized and had a gift for turning anything into something special. Holidays and celebrations in her home were always spectacular, filled with warmth, beauty, and thoughtful detail. Her humor was quick, her intelligence unmistakable, and her generosity and kindness knew no limits.

Libertad is survived by her beloved son, Moises; her stepchildren, Elaine, Marcus, and Suzan Beraza; and her five siblings, Ramona, Ramon, Herman, Rafael, and Clara. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Marcus Beraza; her parents, Altagracia and Ramon Adriams; and her brothers, Ricardo and Jorge. Together, Libertad and Eric shared the joy of grandchildren and six great-grandsons, as well as over twenty-five cherished nieces and nephews, including Salvador— with whom she had a special bond.

Libertad’s love remains—enduring, unwavering, and eternal. She was known for her quiet strength, resilience, and grace. She faced life’s challenges with courage and dignity, always carrying a deep sense of care for those she loved. Her presence was steady and grounding, and her love constant and sincere.

The family is deeply grateful for the compassion shown by the Emory medical team who cared for her, and for the many expressions of support, prayers, and kindness received during this time.

Libertad will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of the lives of Libertad and Eric will be held on April 5, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at 190 Pine Knott Road, Fayetteville, GA 30214. In keeping with her wishes, it will be a springtime gathering of family and friends—filled with love, remembrance, and gratitude for lives beautifully lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in Libertad’s memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).

Rodeada de amor, fue liberada del sufrimiento terrenal y reunida con su amado esposo de treinta años, Eric Marcus Beraza, a quien extrañaba profundamente. Libertad vivió una vida definida por la entrega: a su familia, a sus amistades y a todas las personas a quienes abrió su corazón.

Libertad fue una esposa dedicada, una madre amorosa y profundamente orgullosa, y una presencia entrañable en la vida de sus hijastros, Elaine, Marcus y Suzan. Nacida en la República Dominicana, Libertad fue la menor de ocho hermanos. Obtuvo un grado asociado en contabilidad, abordando sus estudios con disciplina y determinación. Junto a Eric, viajó extensamente, disfrutando descubrir lugares más allá de los caminos turísticos tradicionales, siempre curiosa y deseosa de conocer el mundo en profundidad. Muchos de sus años más felices los vivieron en Miami, disfrutando de su hogar, su familia y un querido círculo de amistades.

A lo largo de su vida, Libertad forjó amistades profundas y duraderas, muchas de las cuales atesoraba como verdaderas “hermanas”. Estas mujeres extraordinarias formaron entre sí una red de apoyo inquebrantable a lo largo de los años. En 2025, se trasladó a Fayetteville para estar más cerca de su familia y disfrutar de la belleza de las cuatro estaciones.

Libertad tenía un ojo excepcional para encontrar tesoros y conocía cada tienda de segunda mano de la zona, deleitándose en hallar la mejor oportunidad. Era famosa por su organización y tenía el don de transformar cualquier cosa en algo especial. Le sobreviven su amado hijo, Moisés; sus hijastros, Elaine, Marcus y Suzan Beraza; y sus cinco hermanos, Ramona, Ramón, Herman, Rafael y Clara. Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo, Eric Marcus Beraza; sus padres, Altagracia y Ramón Adriams; y sus hermanos, Ricardo y Jorge. Juntos, Libertad y Eric compartieron la alegría de sus nietos y seis bisnietos varones, además de más de veinticinco queridos sobrinos y sobrinas, incluyendo a Salvador, con quien tenía un vínculo especial.

El amor de Libertad permanece: firme, inquebrantable y eterno. Fue conocida por su fortaleza silenciosa, resiliencia y gracia. Enfrentó los desafíos de la vida con valentía y dignidad, siempre guiada por un profundo cuidado hacia quienes amaba. Su presencia era serena y reconfortante, y su amor constante y sincero.
