Linda Faye Billue Bernard, 74, of Irwinton, GA passed away October 15th, 2021 after battling lung cancer for seven years. She attended Wilkinson County High School and went on to the University of Georgia. While in college, she met the love of her life, Jack Armand Bernard, and raised three children, Philip, Michael, and Tanya.
Linda had a keen intellect and was a voracious reader and community advocate. After raising children and supporting her husband, Jack and Linda moved back to middle Georgia and lived on Lack Jackson, which they described as the happiest days of their lives. She became active in local politics and led numerous philanthropic activities to support local firefighters.
In 2014, Linda moved to Peachtree City, GA to be closer to her daughter, where she graciously fought her cancer diagnosis and lived years longer than anyone could have predicted.
Linda is survived by her mother, Clarice Bloodworth Billue; her husband, Jack; three children, Philip, Michael, and Tanya; and nine grandchildren.
Linda will have a private ceremony, keeping with her wishes.
In lieu of flowers, Linda has requested that donations are sent to the American Lung Association.
