Linda Kay Lackey

“Beneath the bright light of the waning Blue Moon, on August 31, 2023, the Love of My Life, and my sole reason for living passed away from this physical world to be home with our Heavenly Father. As her husband for 52 years, I have been blessed beyond imagination with her dear sweet spirit, her delicate grace, beautiful countenance, unlimited capacity for love and forgiveness, and so many attributes that words cannot describe. She has been my mentor throughout her life, even as she suffered for years from the effects of her medical conditions. I was honored to be her husband and caregiver, assisting her and enjoying her unbounded love and devotion. We were one, and we still are bonded as one, and forever shall be. May God bless her for the person she was, and is to this very day. I am forever grateful for her. My love for her is endless.”-Dave Lackey-

Linda was blessed as the mother of two children, Scott Lackey (m. Jennifer Stewart Lackey) and Stacy Lackey Morley. She was again blessed with four grandchildren: Kaitlyn Lackey, Kember Lackey, Brandon Morley and Nicholas Morley. All of her lovely children and grandchildren were the light of her life and a guiding light in the window of life, her hope and inspiration.

She is survived by her husband, and all of her children and grandchildren.

Linda’s surviving maternal family includes her sister Mona Turner, and her brothers Richard Middleton (m. Sheila Middleton), and Jack Middleton (m. Ginger Middleton).

The family will receive from 11:30AM to 12:30 PM on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home & Crematory, 135 Senoia Rd, Peachtree City, Georgia 30269 with a celebration of life funeral service 12:30 PM. interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens, 2090 Highway 54, Peachtree City, GA 30269.
