Mrs. Mary Virginia McGee Wood, of Newnan and formerly of College Park, died March 31, 2017. She was born April 3, 1923 in Atlanta to the late Dr. Roy W. McGee and the late Mertie Fain McGee. A graduate of LaGrange College, she was a retired school teacher with Atlanta Public Schools. Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James C. Wood; and her sister, Evelyn McGee Evans. She is survived by her son, Roy (Christine) Wood; grandson, Chase Wood. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Arlington Memorial Park.
