Peggy Ann Roy, of Peachtree City, died January 21, 2017, one day after her 68th birthday. Peggy was born in Detroit, MI to James R. Silver and the late Sally Silver in 1949. The family moved to Grand Rapids where Peggy attended Godwin Schools K – 11th grades. After the family moved into the Forest Hills district for her senior year, she graduated in 1967. Peggy received an Associate Degree from Davenport Business College. Peggy married her high school boyfriend, George Haas and they had 2 children, Lisa Jo Haas and Christian Cory Haas.
Peggy worked at Pak-Sak Ind. in Sparta, MI where she met and married William F. Roy in 1987. Peggy and Bill moved to Peachtree City in 2002 for a career change.
Peggy had a great personality, was very humorous, gracious, and kind. She was selfless when she saw someone in need. Peggy worked in accounting but her hobbies were gardening, golf, and travel.
In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her father, James Silver; step-children, Aaron M. Roy and Brian D. Roy; brothers, Daniel Silver, Paul Silver, and Rich Silver. Peggy was preceded in death by her mother, Sally Silver and brother, Thomas B. Silver.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Grand Rapids, MI.
