It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Scaletta, a beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend. Phyllis passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, in Peachtree City, Georgia, at the age of 82, with her two sons by her side.
Born on September 13, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, to a proud Italian American family, Phyllis was a vibrant woman with style, strength, and a spirit all her own. She spoke her mind and never entered a room unnoticed. She carried herself with elegance, had a natural eye for fashion, a love for good taste, and a presence that made her unforgettable.
Phyllis made her home for many years in Naples, Florida, where she embraced the warmth and beauty of life near the water. She was known locally for her work in fine dining, where she brought grace, confidence, and personality to the front of the house. As a hostess, Phyllis had a natural gift for sparking conversation. She ran the room, made patrons feel important, and welcomed everyone with confidence and grace. She was a true people person — polished, warm, and memorable.
Beyond her work, Phyllis found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an exceptional cook, loved a good drink, and knew how to bring people together with food, conversation, and laughter. Her warmth, honesty, and humor left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
Phyllis cherished her family deeply. She was the beloved mother of Antonio and Phillip, a loving mother-in-law to Melissa, and the proud grandmother of Emileo, whom she always proudly said would “get all the girls.” Her family held a special place in her heart and brought her great joy throughout her life.
In keeping with the life she loved in Naples, Phyllis will be laid to rest beneath the Florida sunshine along the Gulf Shore beaches, a final resting place that reflects her warmth, beauty, and love for the water.
Phyllis’s legacy will be remembered by all who knew her for her class, her strength, her honesty, and her love for her family. She lived life with style, and the memories she leaves behind will be cherished forever.
