A native of LaGrange, she attended Troup High School and continued her education at West Georgia. She worked for many years as a payroll accountant with various companies in LaGrange, and retired early to spend time with family and focus on her health.
Survivors include her children, Amanda Lee of LaGrange, David Freeman of Atlanta, and Abby (Jessica) Freeman of LaGrange. She also leaves behind her two granddaughters, Kaiden Ward and Mya Lee, and a brother, Dale Simpson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Priscilla Smallwood Simpson, grandparents, Clifford and Lois Wilkins Smallwood and Ruben and Vader Hendrix Simpson, and several extended family members.
The family will be holding private services and she will be laid to rest at Meadoway Gardens in the family plot with her beloved mother and grandparents.
