Robert graduated from Treadwell High School in 1969 and later went on to work for the City of Memphis where he retired as a master mechanic. He didn’t take much time off before realizing he missed the daily routine, so he went on to work for Memphis Light Gas and Water where he retired after 15 years. His passion was everything about hunting, fishing, and the outdoors whether legal or illegal.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Ruth McDaniel, his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Newton Valentine McDaniel, Jr., and brother, Richard Newton McDaniel.
Robert is survived by his brother, Cary Marshall McDaniel; daughter, Michelle McDaniel Ward (Glenn); son, Robert (Bobby) Allan McDaniel, Jr. (Becky); grandsons, Joshua Franklin Branum, Daniel Ray Branum and Christopher Michael Robison; granddaughters, Jordyn Taylor McDaniel and Morgan Claire McDaniel; great-grandsons, Cohen Ray Branum and Cayden Scott Branum; and great-granddaughters, Taygan Elaine McCullar, Ozzy Emmett Branum, and Cambry Mae Branum.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
