Ronald Olen Pennington Sr.

Ronald O. Pennington, Sr., 63, of Griffin, GA (formerly of Concord, GA) passed away on October 9, 2016. He was born in Columbus, MS to the late Adene Whitworth Pennington and Olen Pennington on March 28, 1953. He lived in Oakland, CA and Pensacola, FL as well. While Ron was living in East Point, GA his son Ron Jr. was born. His daughter, Shay was born in Pensacola, FL. Ron lived a number of years in Concord, GA and was currently living in Milner, GA. After working for Ford Motor Company in Hapeville for 23 years, he opened a Pallet Business in the early 80’s.

Ron loved fishing, drinking lots of Busch Beer, NASCAR, and Westerns. He enjoyed raising Rottweilers, especially Sissy & Rhett. He also loved taking pictures during lightning storms.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Adene Whitworth and Olen Pennington; and his brother, Donald Pennington.

He is survived by his son, Ron O. Pennington, Jr.; daughter, Shay Quijano; grandchildren, Zachary and Madison Pennington; and a brother Jon Cone.

Graveside services will be held at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City, GA on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 2:00pm. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA. Flowers will be accepted.
