

Sandra Lou Curran, formerly of Highland, IN, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 3, 2025. She worked as a bookkeeper in Northwest Indiana until 2015 when she retired. In 2018 she moved to Atlanta, GA with Toby, her cat, to be closer to her family and resided at Country Gardens of Duluth since that time.
Sandra was surrounded throughout her life by many family friends in Highland and had many interests and experiences in addition to her full-time job which included playing many different card games, doing the books for beauty salons and racetrack owners, riding motorcycles, and learning about car racing. In her later years, she enjoyed playing games on her computer and tablet and spending time with her family and friends in Georgia.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Curran; and her brother, Thomas Curran. She is survived by her cousins which include Diana Palma (Robert) and Danny Palma (Chasity) of Peachtree City, GA; Amy Breidenthal (Matthew) of Decatur, GA; Doug Bogue (Cate) and Caroline Ellison (Brian) of Suwanee, GA; Ross Bogue (Claire) of Peachtree Corners, GA; Ken Frank of Tellico Plains, TN; Janis Nelson and Lori Estes of Traverse City, MI; and Linda Turner of Ann Arbor, MI. She also leaves behind additional family members, too numerous to name individually but each one very precious to her.
A devotional service will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, located at 8178 S. Cline Avenue, Crown Point, Indiana, 46307. The service will take place in the Chapel on October 15, 2025, starting at 1:00 pm with Pastor Eric Kleinschmidt officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her parents after the service concludes.
