My late husband Billy and I were friends with Sue and Bim for many years. Both were such fine and kind people. I miss them so much but I know I will see them again.

So sorry to hear of Sue's passing. We were Sue and Bim's neighbors on Rockaway road almost 30 years ago. We couldn't find nicer neighbors or kinder people anywhere. They would invite us over on Christmas Eve, bring leftovers to our door when they made too much and always saved bones for our dog Pete. We kept in touch with them ever since we moved back to PA.  Sue always kept us up to date on your family and the town of Senoia. We stopped to see them back in 1997 and had a nice visit with Sue. She wanted us to wait for Bim to get home so we could visit with him too. So glad we did as she told us of his passing later that year at Christmas. In 2016 we stopped to see Sue when we were going through GA but she was in Atlanta with family. We did get to talk to her on the phone though. That was our last contact with her. We always missed them as neighbors and thought of them as family. She will be dearly missed. Mike and Marlene Baker

Your Mother was a wonderful sweet woman. My late husband was her Sunday School teacher for many years. David dearly loved her as I. The feeling was mutual, she would tell me how lucky I was to have him every week and I agree. I know she will be missed but you will all be together again.  Our God Reigns

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Sue. She and Bim and my husband Billy (wormie) went out to eat together often and after we moved to Lilburn they would come over and spend the weekend. I think about all the good times we had.  My husband thought there was nothing like Bim and at the railroad they were each known as half the act. I think they entertained over there daily. I lost Billy 13 years ago so the act is back together. Lots of times we would go hear Elgin Wells band (no relation) but a good friend. play at different places. Now he is gone also. Killed in his private plane. Hopefully they are listening to him in heaven. Sue you were a delightful lady and I loved every moment I was with you. Bim's fav line was "Don't she look good". He worshiped the ground she walked on. You will be sadly missed Sue but I know Bim is glad to have the love of his life there with him. I was proud to call you my friend . Till we meet again. 

Sue was my sweet Aunt and my pretend mom during my high school years.  Chip and Chris were the Oliver girls pretend brothers.  Our families (along with the Wike's) spent Friday nights together for literally most of our chidhood. The Wells boys and the Oliver girls were so blessed to grow up with parents that taught us how to laugh, how to love and how to create a home with great atmosphere and GREAT music.   I pray that somewhere...Sue, Bim, Jack and Bette are all dancing to the Four Freshman or some other great tune about right now.  Thank you Sue for being a lovely example of what love looks like. Sue and Bim, Chris and Chip were  my first next door neighbors and I have many fond memories of this kind family, especially Sue’s beautiful smile. Praying for all of you!

Chris, I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. She was an amazing lady. I have such fond memories of her and her great personality. She made everyone feel like they were her best friend. Her legacy will live on through you and your brother. 

It’s with mixed emotions that I write this personal memory of Sue Wells. There is sadness because she will be missed by her family and many friends. Her faithfulness to and many expressions of love for her family were unsurpassed. She was a Proverbs 31 kind of mother: “She looks well to the ways of her household. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also.”

But there’s also a deep sense of JOY and THANKFULNESS. Chip, Chris, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren you are all so fortunate to have had the gift of Sue Wells all these years. Many never know the love and helpful influence of a parent and grandparent like you.  You can also be thankful that she no longer struggles with the limitations of an aged body and mind. She is free from the pain and discomfort she’s known in these last years. 

Sue  was my second mother. In fact some  of my very earliest childhood memories were spent in her house with Chip, Chris, Bim and Sue.  Growing up just four houses a part in East Point meant checking out the menu before making plans on where to eat. It’s meant when I got in trouble being disciplined in two locations.  It meant this only child now had two brothers to play with and do life with - although part of that time was refereeing when my brothers had  disagreements. There were a few. :-) 

But as sad as my brothers and I are there is great joy because  having “ fought the good  fight, having finished the race, having kept the faith, she has now received the crown of righteousness, which her Lord, the righteous judge has awarded her (2 Timothy 4:7-8). She’s in the presence of the Lord enjoying Jesus face-to-face and being reunited with Bim and others who have gone on before.

So as we mark her eternal home going I join with you all in saying: Sue until we meet again, you will be missed but not forgotten! ❤️🙏

Vicki and I are sorry to hear this. Sue and Bim were great friends and we are grateful to have been at FCC with them. Prayers for you all.
