Thomas William Caldwell, 67, of Newnan, GA passed away on March 9, 2016. He was born on October 22, 1948 in Newnan, GA to the late George and Ethel Benefield Caldwell. He was the youngest of 10 children. He was an US Army Veteran. He worked at Humana Hospitals for 14 years. He retired from Coweta County after 14 years of service. He was a Mason and Shriner. He was a clown known as “The Monkey Man”. Thomas is survived by his wife of 45 years, Peggy Wood Caldwell; son, Thomas Williamson Caldwell (Holly); daughter, Christa Tucker; grandchildren, TJ Tucker, Kayla Tucker, Aliyah Greer, Hunter Greer, and Logan Greer; two brothers, Raeford Caldwell (Mildred) and Jim Caldwell (Chiyoko); sister Ruth Phillips; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home Chapel in Peachtree City, GA on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 11:00am. A visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Sharpsburg Baptist Church Cemetery, 6413 Hwy 54, Sharpsburg, GA at 1:00pm with military honors.
