I am so sorry to read this news, I thought about Vera last night and decided to look her up. She was a very special lady who did show much courage and dignity throughout her life. She has a very kind and giving spirit and I will treasure the many things she gave me always. She will be missed by her family I am sure of this, but also by many friends which hearts she touched. Love and remembrances to her.

I was a student of Mrs. McClanahan- she was a very sweet lady. Always showed me a kind heart. I remember her adopting a kitten of ours after a Science Fair-she always told me stories about how the cat was doing! She loved chocolate covered cherries-I always gave some at Christmas time. I was not one of the many students who had a home visit-thankfully! She cared about her students in ways others didn't. Bless you heart & sole.
