She was born on December 28, 1933 to William Franklin Jones and Eula Virginia Ables Jones in Goodman, Mississippi. Bernice worked for decades at Packard Electric in Clinton. A survivor of breast cancer, she was the backbone of the family. Bernice helped raise grandkids, great-grandkids, and constantly had the children of the family over at her house. In addition, she was seldom found without her canine companion of the time - most notably, her dog, Taco, whose ashes will accompany her to her final resting place.
Preceding her in death are her parents, William Franklin Jones and Eula Virginia Albes Jones; her children, Ernest, Joyce and William "Chester"; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Bernice is survived by her daughters, Jean McNamee (Joe) and Jimmie Sue King; sister, Bessie "Mott" Cauthen; brothers, Walter "Beatty" Jones, Billy Joe Jones (Brenda), and Lonnie "Pat" Jones (Karen); 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of beloved extended family members and friends.
She will be so dearly missed.
