

Alvin was born March 4, 1949, in Greenville, Mississippi, a son of the late Raymond L. Rochelle, Sr, and Nellye Grace Thurston Rochelle.
Alvin was a member of the Baptist faith and a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed a long and dedicated career as a welder and pipeline fitter, and owned and operated ALRON Scrap Metal. A true outdoorsman, Alvin found great joy in hunting and fishing, and he loved spending time working in his yard and garden.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Linda Rochelle; children, Adam Cox (Tisha), and daughter, Sammie Carr (Joe); stepchildren, Daphne Stewart (Douglas), and Dennis Lane Steed (Stephanie); siblings, Raymond L. Rochelle, Jr, Dot Zimmerman, and Nancy Day (George); grandchildren, Kate Cox, Kenley Carr, Brayley Carr, Taylor Steed (Sophia), Chloe Fulcher (Christian), Connor Stewart, Caitlyn Stewart, Abbey McNeil (Caleb), Brandon Steed (Paige), Coleson Steed, and Easton Steed; and great-grandchildren, Margot and Archie Steed; and several nieces and nephews.
The Rochelle family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 4:00pm, Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Graveside services will be at 1:00pm, Monday, March 16, 2026, at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
