

Belva Howard Wright, 55, of Sterrett, AL, passed away on August 25, 2024. Belva was a 1987 graduate of Vincent High School. She graduated from Faulkner University in 2014, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Belva enjoyed a long career with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama for over 36 years.
Belva’s greatest love was her family. She was proudest of her son, Zachary and her daughter, Abby. She was a loving and fiercely devoted Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Belva is preceded in death by her father, Jackie Howard, and her grandmothers, Ruth Davis and Clara Howard.
She is survived by her son, Zachary Wright, daughter, Abigail Wright, fiance, Jeff Ward, mother, Shirley Howard, brother, Brian Howard (Lea Ann), sister, Brigitte Vick (Jonathan), nieces, Haley Harris, Hannah Ballenger (Casey), nephew, Hunter Howard (Kaity Beth) and great nephew, Jackson Ballenger.
Belva was a radiant soul whose forgiving nature set her apart as one of the most compassionate individuals you could ever meet. Her beauty shined not only from her outward appearance but, more importantly, from her remarkable inner beauty that captivates everyone around her. A true free spirit, she navigated life with an adventurous heart, always seeking harmony and acting as a peacemaker in even the most challenging situations. Belva's kindness was so profound that it often led her to put others' needs ahead of her own, embodying the essence of selflessness. She consistently chose joy, finding light in every circumstance and refused to let life's challenges define her. To those who knew her, she was a bright light, illuminating the path for others with her unwavering positivity and grace.
Jeff, Belva’s fiance, was a supportive partner, whose genuine kindness and understanding brought a radiant joy into Belva's life. His ability to make her laugh and feel cherished transformed her outlook, filling her days with many newfound “adventures” and a sense of happiness and love.
Belva was a shining example of generosity and selflessness, always putting the needs of others before her own throughout her life. Her legacy continued even after her passing as an organ donor, giving the gift of life to others and inspiring those around her to embrace the spirit of giving.
A Celebration of Life Service is planned for Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Beulah Baptist Church in Sterrett, AL. Visitation with Family 1:30pm - 3:00pm and Service at 3:00pm.
