
Dr. Benjamin Marshall (Ben) Wallace, PhD, 87, went to be with our Lord, Sunday July 15, 2012 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS.
Dr. Wallace was a member of Pearl United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX and received his PhD in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. His professional life was devoted to teaching at Universities and serving as a Principal and Psychological Consultant in public schools. He was a member of various educational associations and civic organizations including the Lions Club, the National Educational Association and the Council of Exceptional Children. He was a Veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Marine Corps in the South Pacific and was awarded the Purple Heart.
Dr. Wallace is survived by his wife, Dr. Ann Wallace and sister, Anne Brown. He is further survived by his children, Sharon Touchette (Henry), Stephen Wallace (Kathy) and Susan Castille (Sonny) of Arkansas; step-children, Lee Zebert (Aurora) of Goodlettsville, TN, Criss Zebert (Missy) and Jason Zebert (Laura) of Pearl, MS and Kathy Zebert of South Carolina. He leaves 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He was loved by all of his family and friends and will be sorely missed. Friends and family are encouraged to donate to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or The Wounded Warriors Project.
Visitation is scheduled for 9 am until 11 am Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl with Funeral Services to follow at 11 am. Interment will be at Harmony Hills Cemetery in Tatum, Texas.
