Bessie Lucille Henderson, 82, of Brandon, passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at her home.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until 1:00pm, Friday, January 15, 2021, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel with interment in the Burns Cemetery in Smith County.

She was born August 25, 1938, in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Dan Jackson and Estelle Jackson May. A devoted wife, Mrs. Henderson built a happy life with her late husband, Jimmy Lynn Henderson. She was a loving mother and grandmother and delighted in her family. She retired from the Clorox Corporation where she worked for more than 15 years. She enjoyed tending her flowers, especially her favorite hydrangeas, collecting artful unicorns, and her daily pot of Folgers. Mrs. Henderson was known to be a “straight shooter”, and very “to the point”, but her words of wisdom were always tempered with love. She was a true matriarch and the glue that held her family together. She will be missed beyond measure.

Survivors include daughters, Karren Barnette, and Carolyn Allen; sons, John Boone, and Cliff Boone; grandchildren, Steven Barnette, Marissa Barnette Jackson, Rachel Barnette, John Michael Boone, D.J. Watts, Jerimey Watts, and Jason Boone; several great-grandchildren, and her canine companions, Ginger and Lucy Henderson.
